The National Hurricane Center is keeping an eye on three areas for possible development, one of which could have some impact on Lowcountry weather late next week.The first area, the closest to the southeast,

Area of low pressure-system will develop in the Western Caribbean Sea or the Gulf of Mexico by early next week. All models are showing a tropical system developing then moving north to northwest.

The National Hurricane Center says there's a 40% chance. It's still too early to determine if it develops and where it would go.
