Family members identified the couple on their verified GoFundMe page as 25-year-old Ilya Tsaruk and 26-year-old Sophia Tsaruk. Sophia Tsaruk was pregnant and the couple also had an 18-month-old son who was not with them at the time of their deaths, according to the GoFundMe page.

MAUI (Gray News) – A pregnant mother and her husband from Washington state drowned while snorkeling on their vacation in Hawaii. A GoFundMe page identified the couple as Ilya and Sophia Tsaruk. According to the Maui County Fire Department, Ilya Tsaruk was 25 years old and Sophia Tsaruk was 26.

The Seattle couple was retrieved from the ocean by lifeguards, but died. "We know that heaven received and gained the three," a GoFundMe said.
