Tirupati laddu controversy LIVE: Amidst the raging controversy over allegations of the presence of “animal fat” in the laddoos served as 'prasadam' at Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh, the Centre has sought a report from the Andhra Pradesh government.

VIJAYAWADA/TIRUPATI: The TDP-led govt in Andhra Pradesh on Friday sought a detailed report from Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on the alleged us.

Amid the ongoing controversy over adulteration of Ghee used in Tirupati laddus, Andhra Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has accused the earlier YSRCP government of desecrating Tirumala, the abode of revered Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple. Further, the state government has initiated the steps to sanitise the temple.
