High pressure north of the state will drive moderate to locally breezy trade winds today and tomorrow, with a brief decline in the trades possible around Thursday and Friday. Drier conditions are due Thursday and Friday and likely into Saturday.

The National Weather Service predicts clearer skies and typical dry season weather for Oahu and Kauai with steady trade winds.

Weather remains stable as the islands are between a weak high-pressure system to the south and a distant low-pressure system to the north. A weakening low-pressure system about 700 miles north of Oahu is slowly moving west.

Trade wind weather continues to be the dominant pattern this week. A few spotty showers are possible Monday evening into Tuesday morning, but a drier weather pattern is expected Tuesday afternoon and onward.
